In the past, higher education institutions relied on paper forms and electronic requests that required a traditional personal computer. Students can download the mobile app for Android phones and IPhones from App stores at no cost. If a student already has the mobile app on their phone, they should delete it and upload this new improved version.
Over 5, students across all TCSG colleges have already installed the app. Ellucian is a software development firm that focuses on the needs of higher education. Student has consistently demonstrated characteristics that will stand out in the work environment.
Wiregrass offers classes in a variety of formats, allowing for flexibility to meet your needs! On Campus Schedule Code “CA” : Courses that are taught primarily in the classroom or lab with 50 percent or less of instruction online. On campus courses may include lecture, labs, internships, clinicals and other in-person instructional modalities. On campus courses are not considered distance learning courses.
Blended courses must detail any on-site course components in the course catalog. Online Synchronous Schedule code “OS” : Courses taught fully online synchronously with course content, activities and interactions occurring entirely online. Online synchronous courses may require proctored events, which must be detailed in the course catalog.
Online Asynchronous Schedule code “OA” : Courses taught fully online asynchronously with course content, activities and interactions occurring entirely online. Flex courses that allow students the option of coming on campus, taking the course online synchronously, or taking it online asynchronously should be coded as online asynchronous ‘OA’ provided that the student is not required to be online or on campus at specific dates or times during the term.
Online asynchronous courses may require proctored events, which must be detailed in the course catalog. Some online synchronous classes may be offered through the eCampus platform. Classes are also offered in full-term or Express term lengths! Student can register for a combination of full term and Xpress classes. Make sure to pay attention to your course start date! It will be listed on your electronic or printed course schedule.
Once you have developed an academic plan with your One-Stop advisor, you will need to register for classes in Navigate or BanWeb. View Schedule of Classes. OKTA is the name of our new single sign-on environment, and one you’ll need to remember as it will be referred to often.
It’s a portal that allows you to use one username and password to access your Wiregrass applications You will receive an onboarding email from OKTA when your account is ready.
Click the link in the email to activate. New students will receive an onboarding email from Okta to their personal email account prior to receiving their Wiregrass Student Email information. You will use this to find out more information about upcoming events that need to be completed each semester. You will also use this tool to design a course schedule and register for classes each semester.
Check Navigate Student regularly! Navigate Planner opens up the academic plan mapped by you and your One-Stop advisor. Look here for degree audits and feedback. Plan your program of study from today through graduation! You can also “one click” to register and access the Pay Tuition button. BanWeb is where you can view all your Wiregrass student records.
Look under Personal Information and make sure your emergency contact, address, and phone numbers are current. You can submit changes within BanWeb as well. You can also view your Degree Audit here through DegreeWorks. This is important because it will show your completed, in progress, and remaining classes specific towards your program of study. Know your student email address! You will receive important student announcements, campus events, message from your instructors, and messages from One-Stop and other departments here.
You can have your email from this account forwarded to another email account if you choose…. Activiate your myConnect account to receive emergency notifications and campus alerts. For myConnect, for the initial log in, you will need to know your and student email address, or your phone number as listed in BanWeb.
You will need to click on Sign Me Up! Courses are available in Blackboard on the first day of class, but not before. It is the student’s responsibility to have regular access to a computer that meets the technical requirements. Students cannot successfully complete all online requirements using only an iPad, iPhone, Android device or tablet.
These devices will allow you to perform only certain functions and not complete an entire course. Basic technology skills is vital to your success at Wiregrass.
